Federal prosecutors failed twice to get a grand jury indictment against a D.C. woman, Sydney Lori Reid, accused of assaulting an FBI agent, who was charged with the same offense filed against the sandwich tosser.

An an enhanced felony version of an assault charge requires inflicting bodily injury. In Reid's case, one of the ICE agents cut his hand during their altercation. Yet twice a Grand Jury said, "nope."

But this may become the first instance when a Grand Jury literally indicts a ham sandwich. After all, it was assault with a deli weapon.

And yeah, it was stupid and pointless... but eight years in prison for tossing a sub?
