The bigger question is *why* in the "Superpower* are so many people IN this situation in the first place? Certainly sometimes it's bad luck. It's the shit-happens part of life that can happen to ANY of us. But it's also......CULTURE. Structurally bad (in some cases) schooling. Broken families. Births out of wedlock. Socioeconomic policies peddled by Wall Street Journal NeoCons, and their 401K Liberal brethren that for 2 generations has decimated some people. Some of it is importing poverty also. We on the Right say 'America First!' - I dunno. I dont know how a Texan (aka AMERICAN) down on his luck maybe not being able to get a bite to eat - is America First. Or a kid born out of bad culture to ill-prepped Baby Mommy and Daddy - is it his fault the parents can't handle things?
