Or considering American Jews being "invested" in issues concerning the security of the country of Israel is a problem, but American Palestinians being similarly invested in issues concerning their fellows in Palestine - or advocating for a Palestinian homeland - is not.
Except that people "invested" in the Pal cause tend to be roughed up, arrested, and deported, by the US regime.
They deal with whether criticizing American Jews for supporting the existence of a Jewish state, or being anti-Zionist, or not affording the Jewish people the same care and consideration in talking about these matters that we afford other groups, is something that's dangerous for American Jews.
You probably remember the attack on a metro Detroit Synagogue a few months ago. The perp, was an immigrant from Lebanon. He was distraught because several members of his family had been killed, in their home, in Lebanon, by an Israeli air strike. A couple days after the family connection was reported, the media then reported that one member of his family was supposedly a "Hezbollah commander" as if that justified exterminating the family, in their home. So, yes, blowback from Israeli government actions, on civilians in the US, is a real danger, just as blowback on Muslims in the US, after 9/11 happened.
