The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

The US attacked Iran, because Israel was going to attack Iran. If Israel attacked, Iran would retaliate against US bases, so, to protect USians at the bases, the US attacked first.

...with brings up the musical question, if the US was it's own master, it would demand Israel not attack. If the US is Israel's slave, then the US follows Israel's lead. So much for "America first".

This thing could go sideways in sudden and unsettling ways, but that is only a problem for the regime, if there are free and fair elections this fall.

Some 70% of USians did NOT want another war in the Middle East, but that is only a problem for the regime, if there are free and fair elections this fall.

Gas has been about $3/gallon in Michigan. It could easily go to $5, $6, $7/gallon, but that is only a problem for the regime, if there are free and fair elections this fall.
