More and more, the images we're seeing on the news should trigger our memories of two prescient movies:

1. Soylent Green https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soylent_Green

And

2. Escape from New York https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Escape_from_New_York

From 1973 and 1981 respectively, they were 'way out there' SciFi; things would NEVER GET THAT BAD!, would they???
