Very exciting news from Moderna and Merck about the personalized cancer vaccine. The possibilities seem large.
I've held on to some Moderna for years now, rarely since I bought it has my investment been in the green, but the recent pop put it back over my purchase price. I was so impressed how the executed in the pandemic to absolutely mint money, and their tech seemed so very promising, that I bought some, well of the all-time high, but way above the depths it has plumbed most of the time since.
They have numerous trials initiated with Merck for personalized vaccines for other cancers. Presumably wherever Keytruda is used, the MRNA vaccine can boost results. Keytruda is used for non-small cell lung cancer, colon, bladder, and other cancers. They also have some trials using it as a stand-alone therapy, not as a chemo adjuvant therapy.
