Always good to hear from you. It sounds as though you are doing well and your health issues are hopefully behind you. I don't remember if I shared with you that I lived in Castres, Languedoc, for a year as an au pair. I remember many asking me about US politics even then, amazed that we had elected Le Cowboy as POTUS, (Reagan.) Are they still that willing to discuss difficult things or are they more cautious? Loved the local accent...was almost like singing.
Almost married a local, but I think I was more in love with his family and the country and wisely flew home. I really related to the way of living there, and it sounds as though it hasn't changed much!
