Maybe the Emerates figures they make more profit, on half the volume, by keeping the Strait closed, and Iraq, and Kuwait off line? Iraq has a pipe through Turkey, but, it goes through Kurdish territory. Apparently, the Baghdad government, and the Kurds, have been in a snit, so the pipe is idle.
