I am amazed, but I totally agree with him.

Like the United States, they responded to Russia’s aggression in Ukraine in 2014 with wishful thinking.

I really like that last bit. "There will be peace in our time" was as much wishful thinking in the 30s as it is today. We should have been more forceful when Putin took Crimea. Now he's trying to gobble-up the rest of Ukraine because of our (western free nations) inaction.
