There were these tiny demonstrations. It was in a city down in Texas (IIRC) It had absolutely no effect from what I could tell, but I was fascinated that it worked, then recognized it did absolutely nothing. I came to the conclusion they attempted to interfere and got nowhere. They need more practice.
