Israelis demand that the world honor their beliefs without question, while having no respect whatsoever for the beliefs of anyone else. They truly believe that they are God's chosen people and behave as if that gives them privilege rather than obligation to service.
A couple not minor deets:
Not all Israelis are Jews. Not all Jews are Israelis. Not all Jews, regardless of where they may be, believe they are God's chosen people; many are atheist.
What most Jews do believe (same as everybody) is that Jews ought to be able to avoid pogroms/holocausts/intifadas/random attacks by bigots; a way to defend themselves against people who want to kill everybody named Fein, Cantor, Katz, Bloch, Geller, Freud, Cohen, Kohner, Blum, Klein. Israel is supposed to be that "way."
