I keep learning here --- how we got away with all this so many times.

Who is "we"?

The southern states look like they do because of the Voting Rights Act of 1964. It's a convenient bit of history the libs forget/remember when they think they're about to make a point.

They "forget" it when they whine about somebody like Texas proposing changes.
The "remember" when they want to accuse all southern states of raaaacism.

In other words, it's more liberal Calvinball. They can't play any other game.

At any rate - there's a pending challenge to the VRA's maps in front of the Supreme Court. Since we don't do blood libel in this country, it doesn't look good for them.
