That was back in the time when th Pentagon at least made the effort to keep its troops fed well.

Sure about that? Food service was "privatized" so cronies could make a profit off the war.

US soldiers have launched a lawsuit against a firm whose parent company was once headed by Vice-President Dick Cheney, on the grounds that it provided US troops in Iraq with unsafe water, rotten food and that it exposed them to toxic waste.

Contractor served troops dirty food in dirty kitchens

The Pentagon repeatedly warned contractor Halliburton-KBR that the food it served to US troops in Iraq was "dirty," as were as the kitchens it was served in, NBC News reported on Friday.

Halliburton-Kellogg Brown and Root's promises to improve "have not been followed through," according to a Pentagon report that warned "serious repercussions may result" if the contractor did not clean up.

Some of the troops deployed to DC after January 6th, were Michigan National Guard. They complained about undercooked, raw, and rotten food served by contractors.
