That's an interesting concept. There is some validity to the coastal elites vs flyover country although there are liberal enclaves in so called flyover country. I never though of there being a different culture based on geography, it seems more like rural vs urban lifestyle and values to me.

Yes, the NorthEast has religion too, that's where the "giving back to the community" comes from. I think the Congregationalists is the surviving present day form for them. Think you get a lecture that you should give back, or think of the community? This is supposed to be the source. And a bunch wagon trained over to the Northwest Coast. Guess what Dope is surrounded by? :)
