The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

LOL this was a done deal a long time ago when BOTH your parties, and your consumers and 401K toting maggots --all sold out to China.

Republicans love the "free trade orthodoxy and corporate profits. 401K'ers loved the earnings per share. Liberals loved selling out America to China---a soulmate of theirs in some ways.

Hence I used to say - exactly - that one day China takes Taiwan and the most you people can do is pass a resolution condemning it.

Furthermore, this was MORE a done deal well before Trump came back......

Ever wonder why your polarized tribal shithole of a government - could some how get the CHIPS act passed? It's because you people can't wipe your asses anymore without your digital way of life and, you people were TOLD: Fair warning, Taiwan is a dead duck. So for the sake of your supply chains, President Biden- wisely got the ball rolling on this one.

The SOLE question remains - will China take Taiwan via force? Or ---amicably.

China's Club 401K: Academics, corporate folks, etc------will be rather 'open minded' to China.

401K'ers are usually the sellouts.

It's a non event to me -- it's been inevitable.

I'm more pissed about Putin. The Yutz didn't win in Ukraine despite his heinous crimes. Yes he might've forced Europeans to divert money from pensions and health care---to more defense spending but that isn't a done deal yet. I so wish he had spent the cash and Capital that he is wasting on Ukraine, towards further meddling in politics and exploiting the tribal tensions from America to Canada to Germany to France to Spain.

His ROI would be better ----as would be my fun factor.

I bet on the wrong horse with him.
