Unless and until Republicans admit they totally screwed the pooch, Trump’s policies that they embraced- don’t work, and they need to sit down and honestly ask themselves what they can offer the American people that will help all of us to move forward, they have nothing to offer America.

But they can’t do that while maintaining their sick allegiance to the most flawed and corrupt president in our history.

It might be too late for the Republican Party as it exists. After all, who wants to trust a mob of sycophants who enabled Trump’s destruction?

A hard place for them to be right now. But the future will be there for a political movement that stands for a renewed conservatism that goes beyond performance art.

There’s a real chance that the next few years will destroy both political parties.

And though such an era might be fraught with danger, it could also usher in a time of democracy’s renewal as America re-invents itself.

One thing is for certain- the golden age of democracy will not come about as the result of one man’s imposed authority on the rest of us.

These times only come around every several generations. Will we rise to the occasion and perfect the Union? Or sink into the swamp of an authoritarian’s fever dreams?
