I think me and a cardinal made meaningful telepathic conversation too :)
I was on my walk a week or two back, when a cat suddenly approached me, meowing. The car started rubbing against my legs, so I gave her some ear scratches. Then she started climbing up my pant leg, which what appeared to be a desperate look on her face. I told her her claws were sharp, so she let go of my pant leg. I told her I had to get on with my walk. She followed me maybe 30 feet, then went under a bush. I went on to the next cross street, but, instead of carrying on around the block, I went back to the bush. The cat was still under the bush, but came out to me. I told her we would try to find her home. She followed me back to the house where I first encountered her. The guy at that house said she wasn't his, but may belong next door. I told the cat we were going to try next door, and she followed me back down that driveway and up the next driveway. This time, the cat apparently recognized the door to the house as she went to is as if she expected to be let in. There was no answer to my knock. The cat lay down in the sun on the driveway. I started to walk away, and the cat no longer followed, so I was satisfied that was where she belongs. I have understood that, when a random cat approaches, they are probably looking for help. This was the first time I saw the scenario play out first hand. The cat had lost her bearings, when she wandered into the driveway next door. Lost and scared, she came to me for help.
