When the "Gateway" project was built, to connect the Ambassador to I-75, decades after 75 was built, the US side was built to align with a new bridge that Matty wanted to build next to the old one, so drivers need to negotiate an S curve on the US side, to get from the new approach, to the old bridge. Matty bought up a bunch of houses on the Windsor side, tore them down, and built a ramp to connect to his proposed bridge there too.
