If it can take care of the elderly without being abusive or lackadaisical - my goodness how great.

BUT........................

Does the universe really need a species........CREATED BY US? THE HUMAN RACE? We've been here for zillions of years, we've perfected the art of being able to annihilate - - but all of our people don't have 1 warm meal a day and a roof on their heads.

My vote: NO. I don't want us creating a new being. No way. if the dolphins, or turtles or deer want to create a form of AI - great.

But this - has trouble written all over it.

Certainly - the BUBBLE people - Academics, Corporate-ey types are secure, and they want to tell those who will be economically displaced "you'll get retrained".

You think violence is bad now?

Wait till throngs lose jobs.

The Establishment's dream that 75% of the world have Hunger Games will come true.

Look around. From Uvalde to Tel Aviv to Rio to Rome to Austria to Paris - they aren't going quietly, are they.

Wait till their lot in life gets even worse.

Wait till 'immorality' and digital lives make life even less precious in people's eyes.

And we think mass violence is a problem now..?
