It isn't higher than the rest of the world. The US is 87th in homicides per capita per Wiki. en.wikipedia.org - List of countries by...Granted, the USA has a large population and that list make it seem as if it's not that bad. But when I look at countries where it's worse than the USA, I don't see many that are considered heaven on Earth. And when I see Iran doing better, I really question if being in the middle of the field should be considered good...
