The left/democrat posters on this Board far out number conservative/right leaning posters and
there are many left leaning posters who read this Board, but do not post here will rec’ a post and now can also hit the frowny face.
With these kind of odds, it’s easy to realize how quickly a poster can disappear from the Shrew’m plus the disappearance of free speech/opinions....
The same reason why too, left leaning posts get many rec’s with awards piling up while only 3 or 4 recs for the conservative poster posting at the US Policy Board....cause that’s all there are of us here at the US Policy Board.

WLast night, as I read of this new feature/policy of the Shrew’d, I had the uneasy feeling that this could be misused- or at the least, could inadvertently kick someone in to the outer darkness of gnashing teeth.
I’v banished you and Jedi for short periods of time, but never for long.. Eventually, I’ve pulled you back out again.
The problem, as you point out, is that there’s more of us than of you. What happens if three of us simultaneously put you in the penalty box? Poof, you’re gone. At the time, I might feel that is fitting. But unfortunately, the remedy is a permanent one- banishment with no hope of parole.
I don’t want that sort of power. Consequently, my frowny face penalty box will be completely empty from this point forward. If we ever get a poster who truly deserves banishment (I only ran across one in all my years at the fool), then, ok, let’s all talk about it, and then make a decision together, and take responsibility for that decision, but the normal antagonisms that occur here hardly merit banishment by anonymous algorithm.
