In today’s WSJ there is an article on hedge fund returns for 2025.

Mentioned in the article was that Citadel has produced the greatest aggregate return for investors (after fees)of any hedge fund. Since its inception in 1990, that would be 36 years, investors have net gains of $90.4 billion.

Obviously BRK still has a huge position in s AAPL. Does anybody have an idea of the amount of BRK’s total gains, realized plus unrealized, on the AAPL investment? My guess would be that it is quite a bit more than Citadel’s career $90.4 billion.

Oh yeah, BRK has made some other investments that turned out pretty well, too.
