I thought about buying a few shares, then the concept of DITM LEAPs struck me. Seems like a lot of people have been having the same idea; open interest is higher than typical for such a far out call.
The Jan 2027's are going for effective interest rate around 3%, with around 3X leverage.
Put in a midpoint buy order. It didn't fill in the hour before leaving for the airport, so I replaced it with a GTC lowball buy.
Now sitting in Dallas for a 4-hour delayed connecting flight and *surprise* it filled.
All the volumes when I left home were 0 for all the ITM strike, but now there was decent volume on all strikes.
Maybe a lot of people read that article.
