And the family of Aiden Clark has repeatedly asked Vance and Trump to stop using their son's accidental death as a political weapon: "Using Aiden as a political tool is, to say the least, reprehensible."

There have been about 43,000 traffic fatalities a year in the United States for the past few years. That's, what, about 115 deaths per day? Yet republicans never raised the issue of traffic safety or traffic fatalities until the accident in Springfield was politicized by Vance and Trump, stoking the anger of their cult because that's basically the only arrow they've got in their campaign quiver.
