I enjoyed the "Time Patrol" series (I think just two, actually) by Poul Anderson.
Was on vacation, but now want to get my hands on the first Murderbot book to see if it is my speed.
And something different, read American Sniper. Saw the film when it first came out, never read the book till now. The film made Chris Kyle a more troubled, sympathetic character. He's not that way in the book. He wasn't troubled, he wanted to kill as many "savages" as he could.
And he was very good at it. Though his firearm therapy for PTSD soldiers was a bad idea (which had a predictable result). Only a gun-nut would come up with an idea like that.
The movie was made by Clint Eastwood. I like some of his movies, but in real life he's a whacko. Extreme right wing. To him, Reagan was probably a commie.
