I suspect a defendant posting bail in the state of Georgia must do so through a bail bonds firm because on average, the state / county does not want to spend resources chasing every person that jumps bail and doesn't return to court as required. Involving a bail bond firm then requires THAT firm to track you down and gives them a hefty financial incentive for re-capturing you. Therefore, if you have to post bail, you have to use a bail bond firm and that firm has to be licensed to operate in Georgia.
In theory, it isn't because Trump doesn't have $200,000. In reality, he only had to post $20,000.
I do hope the bail bondsman counted the money, though.
