I just heard that Buttigieg was sent vetting material to respond to. As much a large part of me would LOVE to see Pete as the VP, and the next president after Harris in 8 years, larger part of me believes Harris would be much better positioned to win with Josh Shapiro (or one of the other governors on the short list), who could cement her win in PA. Pete is wonderful, but with both a black woman and a gay man on the ticket, it could dissuade enough voters to make a difference.

I hope Harris doesn't get cocky and pick Pete purely for the history making precedent it would set. She still needs to be coldly and calculatingly realistic. I hope she's getting good advise from her inner circle.
