There are two sides to this. No, we don't want a Ministry of Truth (which, if you read the book, all ministries were named the opposite of their purpose, e.g. Ministry of Love is where torture occurred). At the same time, people like you and me cannot be well-informed if correct information isn't available. If you take your Earth Sciences from the Bible, you will be woefully misinformed. Genesis chapter 1 is not of comparable quality and reliability to the journal Nature. Which is why -much to the consternation of right-leaning folks- we challenge sources when they appear to be (or have proven to be) dodgy.**

A request that a company enforces its own terms of service is not unreasonable. No one imposed those terms, the company created the TOS itself. Of course, the company is under no obligation to enforce, and to my knowledge no one has the power to require them to do it. But you can always ask.



**I will note that this also applies to left-leaning folks, e.g. the lefty antivaxxers.
