Pedo Don's first year produced the worst jobs growth outside of a recession since 2003. And nearly 85% of the jobs growth last year occurred in April, with little hiring the rest of the year.

Employers added just 50,000 jobs last month, nearly unchanged from a downwardly revised figure of 56,000 in November, the Labor Department said Jan. 9. The unemployment rate slipped to 4.4%, its first decline since June, from 4.5% in November, a figure also revised lower.

Manufacturing, which Pedo Don keeps (falsely) claiming he has brought back to America, shed jobs.

But wait.

Even the weak 2025 figures are likely to be revised lower in February, when the government completes an annual benchmarking of the jobs figures to an actual count of jobs derived from companies' unemployment insurance filings. A preliminary estimate of that revision showed it could reduce total jobs as of March 2025 by 911,000.

It's the 'Golden Age,' baby. Enjoy.

Unless you need a job.

It seems likely that King Donald will do whatever he can to make sure that bad economic news is suppressed. We'll see.

Don't worry. Trump / Bessent / Hassett / Lutnick assure us it will all get better in 2026.

Whatever lingering seeming weakness there is now is solely due to Biden.
