The EU can't figure out that China has a stated goal of making them 100% dependent on...China.
Milton Friedman would be delighted. The EU has recently signed a free trade agreement with India, and expanded it's free trade agreement with Mexico. They haven't learned a thing, from the US offshoring much of it's manufacturing, as Freidman urged. A free trade agreement, with a country with dramatically lower production costs, like Mexico or India, is guaranteed to produce the great sucking sound that Ross Perot warned about 35 years ago. The EU thinks it has social problems now, due to immigration. Wait until VW lays off 100,000 Germans, with other EU companies following, as production is offshored.
