The unexpected confab has created confusion and alarm, as there has not been a defense secretary in recent history who has ordered such a large number of the military’s top officers to gather like this.

Two possibilities:

The regime started relieving high ranking officers that were female, POCs, or supported "woke ideology" very soon after the inaguration. Maybe they are going all in now, and purging all flag rank officers who don't fit their Christian nationalist ideal?

Or, getting ready for the invasion of Venezuela.

I bet it's option 1, because they don't need every flag rank officer in the country, to knock over another banana republic.
