Are you still considering a sell target in the $160's? At current price I am up 46% on DG in a relatively short time frame. Bulls, Bears and Pigs - I am trying to get better at selling.
My philosophy is to figure out what it's worth and ignore the market price in the mean time. It's a hard philosophy to live up to, but at least it is a firm reminder not to change your opinion based on price movements. When prices are high they seem totally normal, and when prices are low they seem totally normal. They can't both be normal.
I added a bunch in spring last year, on which I have done very nicely indeed, and I haven't sold any shares yet. I have however started writing some calls to turn some of the long stock position into a covered call situation. Sort of a statistical version of chickening out.
I still think the share price will start with a "2" at some point before I croak. When? Aye, there's the rub...
More seriously, the big question is whether the business metrics (notably net margin before tax) will mean revert in the direction of the old typical figures (meaning P/S isn't a useless yardstick), or whether that was an unsustainable aberration as they squeezed the system (and store managers) too hard. Maybe it just takes more staff forever, and they won't work for free.
