When I look at the Best Of for the month, all I see now are article-length posts predominated by looooong quotations from other sources. That’s not why I come to Shrewd’m tbh. I come here to read the thoughts of the contributors here. Not so much to sift through looooong quotes from other publications.

Also, I really miss the old-school simplicity of ranking Best Of by total number of recs. It’s just too often that posts are listed high up in the Best Of at, say, 50% when only 2 people have read the post and 1 has rec’d it.

I know the intention is to nudge people towards reading less-frequented boards, but I’m not sure this is the best way to accomplish that goal.
