When Pulte was head of a home mortgage agency, he was quick to tell Trump, words to the effect "I can prove your enemies committed mortgage fraud", so he was promoted to head of DNI.

This piece claims that there were names named, in the claim that Chinese interference was being concealed from Trump, but the names were redacted. That adds credibility to the claim, without actually showing any evidence. What had me laffing out loud was the bit about how Pulte got Trump "spun up".

Acting director of national intelligence Bill Pulte, a favorite of the president's, had in the days leading up the speech pushed to reveal the names of intelligence officials accused of concealing election interference from Trump, according to two senior officials granted anonymity to discuss private conversations.

This is too neat. Reminds me of the "military tribunals" at Gitmo. Prosecution would tell the tribunals they had tons of evidence backing up their claims about the accused, but, due to "national security", they could not show the evidence to defense council or the court. Their line was "trust us, we have the receipts, really, we do, just trust us". Back then I had a tiny bit of respect for Lindsey Graham. Graham was ex-Air Force JAG Corps. He knows there are ways to introduce evidence, without compromising security, and said so, in a Senate hearing on the Gitmo tribunals.

Now, we are back to the Bush junta's tactics of insisting they have the proof, but insisting it has to be kept secret. Just like Joe McCarthy waiving that "list of Communists", but never showing it.
