The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

Trump is an unserious carnival barker running for the most serious job in the world. During his last term, Trump served himself and not the American people.

Of course, and he will do so again.

Biden must show that he is up to the job. This much is clear: He has a substantive record of real accomplishments, fighting the pandemic, combating climate change, investing in infrastructure, and supporting working families and the most vulnerable.

Totally agree, but his record is irrelevant. How will he do going forward? He showed us on Thursday. He's not capable of the "most serious job in the world".

A letter I wrote to my Democrat Senator:
"President Biden has done a great job so far* and should be proud of his administration's accomplishments. But going forward, it is obvious that he cannot win a new term. In a 538 poll only 20 percent of likely voters said that Biden has the mental fitness to be president. I'm surprised it is that high. He clearly does not have the mental fitness for such a demanding job.

We absolutely need to win in November. We cannot have another four years of Trump. President Biden is NOT the candidate we need."

I don't want either of them as my president. If Biden says in the race, we get Trump.

I'm also pretty pissed with the Democrats that they have kept Biden's decline from us for so long...gaslighting is Trump's MO.

(* Except on immigration, where I give them an F.)
