All the Bosch dishwashers have the filter located in the bottom. The sales woman in the Best Buy told me it needs to be cleaned out at least once a week. That's a non-starter for me since my knee hurts (I'm age 71).

Is there any good DW with a readily accessible filter?

The dishwashers I have used, (and given all the 30 day + rentals we do as part of our gypsy lifestyle, that's not a small number), tend to have their filter at the bottom as well. That said, one does not have to kneel down to get to them. Simply reach over and unscrew the filter, which is below the lower rack. Clean and replace. Have them show you where it is in the show room and try it out. I use an old toothbrush to clean mine after each load of dishes. DH doesn't scrape his plate well, but hey, he puts it in the dishwasher so happiness! We currently have a Whirlpool Gold and, IIRC, a Kenmore at our kitchens. Both have the same filters.
