For Americans the Vanguard MMF, which is the settlement account, VMFXX, currently offers a compound yield of 5.4%. The cash in that MMF secures puts I'm short in my IRA or taxable account. I never had to fool with tbills, just a thought. What do your settlement accounts yield at other brokers ?
