Obama fired/force retired some 197 general officers during his administration.

If Trump only fires two dozen or so general officers per year, for a variety of reasons only some of which have to do with policy, that will be completely fine and consistent with historic norms and practice.

If his "warrior board" purges large numbers of general officers immediately, solely for policy reasons, you're talking about something else entirely.
