The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

This is an offshoot of the thread "How to Use GTR1" and is in response to the request by ges for a Mac version of my program for getting the screen picks. I am posting both Mac and PC versions because it has been updated a bit. (This version is not enough different from the one previously posted to go to the trouble of installing a new one if you are already using the app.)

Mac version: dropbox.com - Screen Picks Mac
PC version: dropbox.com - Screen Picks PC

The hardest part of the program is getting it installed. I am not a licensed developer and your OS will probably object. It is safe to install and can be placed anywhere you have read-write privileges. Keep everything in one folder after you unzip the download. Once the un-zipped folder is in place, run the executable (.app for the Mac and .exe for the PC). Immediately go to the Help Menu and you will find the one time instructions for connecting the database.

The next big hurdle is to make sure that the source file (VL or SI Pro) has all the fields required by the source Radiscript. This is not necessarily easy but there is a window that shows you all the needed source fields. It is a chore to get running correctly the first time but after that a breeze.

Good luck,
Larry
