About as well as you'd expect.Odd, isn't it, that your Fox News article doesn't contain a single statistic?
Well, let's look at some data:
There has been "
a 27.9% decrease in violent crime in 2023 over the previous year in Hollywood, including a 14% decrease in property crime. Capt. Raymond Valois, of the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Division credited a program launched by the Hollywood Partnership and its 90 ambassadors for having a significant impact on crime.
According to crime statistics, as a whole violent crime has dropped by about 18% in the West Hollywood area.
If all you read and watch is Fox reporters who quote random citizens, like Kevin Dalton in the linked article, then sure, you believe roving gangs of criminals are out to get you and violent crime is skyrocketing because that's what you're force-fed everyday.
The facts, though, show that crime in actually down from a year ago.
