Seems that US and Mexican officials are coordinating.

I was gone for a while. Catching up, I noted someone else posted about that a few weeks ago. The gist was that Trump didn't make Mexico pay for the wall (as he promised), but Biden did work with Mexican authorities to actually do something helpful.

Also, not mentioned, is the expanded use of H1-A visas (migrant visas...they really do exist, but aren't perfect, and until recently weren't utilized much because it was easier just to scoot across the border). IMO, the H1-A is a step in the right direction. Fix the bugs (e.g. abuse is possible because the agro-business can threaten to fire you, and if you have no job the visa is invalid and you get deported), and it would be a workable system.
