ME: You know, I'm a Google shareholder and I just got to register this complaint. I get these definitive "you are right, you are wrong answers" that are in reality not correct. So, I don't know how you can speak so declaratively on something that's factually incorrect. Again, we all make mistakes, but it's presented in a way like, no, this is fact. And I think that's a flaw in the system. Even when I factually CORRECT YOU--you STILL stick with the WRONG answer. Why?
You made two mistakes. First, if you are going to use an LLM for something important, at a minimum you should use the same input with another LLM and see if the results match. That's not perfect, but it is a quick check that picks up a lot of hallucinations.
Second mistake is you started to argue with it. Gemini, I assure you, doesn't care what you think or if you are a shareholder. Gemini is a sycophantic suck-up and all it will do is agree with you. It might be satisfying to make Gemini grovel, but it is about as productive as watching reruns of the Love Boat.
