You sound like my SIL, who refuses to accept the data from studies that shows vaccines are safe and effective, and often have benefits far beyond their primary purpose, by reducing risks of other diseases, because evil BIG PHARMA studies are stink eye worthy fake news.
Woe be it for me to speak for Steve, but he seemed to be talking about the endless parade of product advertisements that contain the phrase “studies show”, without mentioning the actual parameters of the “study”- sample size, whether or not it was a double arm, placebo controlled study, or whether the “study” was anything more than conducting an interview with cousins Festus and Cletus.
“Studies show” covers a multitude of sins.
