The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

It's not just your European racist friends who are getting it, and deserve to get it more.

:) I've go many more irons in the fire for you Sheeple and the biggest one - is culture that you arrogantly refuse to even discuss and now, it's on cruise control. But taking a break from your troubles abroad, and your culture caused problems and tribalism, here's one that I'm hoping will hit your stupid SP 500 eventually. (The people should rise up violently and come to the homes of executives and retail investors alike and demand fairness.....but that's still far down the road)

Anyhow....them IrishMen are going it again.

wsj.com - Abs crashed the economy in now theyre back and bigger than ever

"They Crashed the Economy in 2008. Now They’re Back and Bigger Than Ever.
Wall Street expects to sell more than $335 billion in asset-backed debt this year. Remember that conference in ‘The Big Short’? It just drew a record 10,000."

"At 10,000 people, it was the biggest ever SFVegas—the annual gathering for the structured-finance industry. The last time it boomed like this was 2006 and 2007. Mortgage bonds were selling like crazy, and this crowd was flying high."

"Now, structured finance is back.

Wall Street is once again creating and selling securities backed by everything—the more creative the better—including corporate loans and consumer credit-card debt, lease payments on cars, airplanes and golf carts, and payments to data centers. Once dominated by bonds backed by home mortgages, deals now reach into nearly every cranny of the economy."
**********************************************************

I wonder just how hard the Trump Admin is gonna regulate and watchdog these people :)

And I truly wonder, with wonder..... *who* is gonna pay for the next crash? Where will the money come from? What issues will it cause? Will AI displacement of people already be in motion? What will those people's reactions be? Will culture have degraded even more by then and does that mean reactions from the people to be more 'colorful'? Just so much on the way.

Punishment.

I'm winning. And I'm not tired of winning. Foreign nations should make your country pay 10-12% interest for 10 year debt.
