You're moving the goalposts. It's a matter of debate what *mechanism* is chosen to implement the tariffs. What's not a matter up for debate is that the democrats are just fine with implementing them in the first place. If they didn't want them Biden would have rescinded them immediately.
So...tariffs aren't an issue for the democrats despite rhetoric around "affordability".
