The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

“Inversion”: turning something upside down, reversing order, or switching positions,

“Inversion” is our new reality. The following news item makes that clear. The world we thought existed doesn’t really exist anymore.

Trump may have pardoned Juan Orlando Hernández, former president of Honduras, but that doesn’t mean the convicted fraudster and money launderer who helped move tons of cocaine into the United States is home free. The government of Honduras issued its own international arrest warrant for Hernández yesterday, apparently determined to administer the justice the American government suddenly has so little concern for. If that’s not a good metaphor for all this nonsense, we don’t know what is. Happy Tuesday.
William Kristol, Anthony Egger, jim Swift

When Honduras upholds the values of justice that the United States has turned its back on, you know that things are good and truly….. inverted.

Makes you wonder who is the “shithole country”.

Meanwhile, the guy who pardoned the guy who financed tons of cocaine and helped move them into the United States- is blowing up pangas and humans in the Caribbean- “fighting drugs”, he says. (while eying huge reserves of Venezuelan oil)
