Tesla can probably can no longer reasonably be called a falling knife...The knife might not be falling, but I wouldn't walk under it. At the beginning of the year, Musk stated sales would increase by 20-30%, robotaxi roll out in June with thousands by the end of the year including in California, two new models in the first half of 2025, and thousands of Optimus by the end of the year.
Of course, robotaxi is not yet available to the public. Tesla hasn't applied for ride hailing permits in any jurisdiction that I'm aware of, no new models have been introduced, sales were down a lot in Q2, and it looks like there are problems with Optimus:
