Since Cuba is also full of brown skinned people, why would Trump want to colonize it?
As a Miami resident, it's worth reminding everyone that: i) Florida is full of Cuban exiles who have opinions about Cuba; and who are ii) mostly Republican, and therefore very key for helping your friends win Republican primaries; and that iii) Florida is a pretty important state, both nationally and for Trump personally.
So in addition to dreams of the swankiest casinos and resorts, there's a very good domestic political reason to not ignore Cuba in Trump's "2026 Regime Change World Tour."
