I had hoped for better, but I ignored 3000 yrs of history and underestimated humanity's basic instinct to hate others. I'll do fine; I'm an old white guy, but I mourn for my daughter and granddaughters.

I suppose the market is up today anticipating all kinds of tax and regulation cuts. I don't see that 'up' lasting in what seems to be the market's already overpriced condition. I expect those tax and regulation cuts (and tariffs) to eventually hurt all but the most wealthy, particularly hurting those in the middle and labor class who voted for this administration. You never know when that will come, but as the market has risen, I'm now at about 30% cash. The more I can make and preserve, the better to help my female family members in the future.

I should look at the other boards to see how to invest when one lives in an autocracy. There was a thread iirc a few months back I'll have to find.
