I just spoke with my CDC sources, and they say the risk to humans is increasing.
When asked why the CDC briefly posted and then deleted data on bird flu transmission between cats and people, the sources confirmed it showed transmission in two households.
They said the data was deleted under orders from the Trump administration.This appeared on a Substack info blog SARS-Cov-2 (Covid-19) and granted is a report on the order of “Somebody told me” so it shouldn’t be taken simply at face value, but if you are looking for public health updates on H5N1 and other public health issues that are scientifically trustworthy and not subject to government censorship, you might take a look at

There are certainly others, and many are ideologically diven rather than evidence based. But Your Local Epidemiologist is a good place to start. It offers a free subscription as well as fee based. But the free subscription should offer families and communities enough guidance to negotiate public health issues that will undoubtedly arise in the next four years and beyond.
